The opportunity for U

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and database solutions, with a strong focus on SQL development. You’ll deliver secure, high-performing systems that support critical business applications, data integration, and analytics.

Join a global team in an Australian-based company, collaborating with colleagues in the UK and Vietnam. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Sydney.

What U will do:

  • - Design scalable relational database solutions

    - Develop and optimise SQL queries, procedures, and triggers

    - Drive performance tuning and enforce database security

    - Collaborate with engineers and architects for seamless integration

    - Ensure data integrity, backups, and disaster recovery

    - Mentor junior developers and maintain technical documentation

Contributes to the success of a high performing team


U will be someone with:

  • - 7–10 years in software development with strong database expertise

    - Proven SQL skills and experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)

    - Performance tuning and query optimisation expertise

    - Strong problem-solving and collaborative development skills

    - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

    Desirable skills and experience

    - Experience with CI/CD and database automation

    - Cloud database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)

    - Previous experience in wealth administration technology
